Health and Wellness Coach

Whether you’re seeking relief from pain, guidance in your health journey, or support in navigating a limiting diagnosis, Michelle will meet you where you’re at and help you to discover your full potential. She uses a variety of techniques such as functional movement assessments, hands-on movement lessons, guided mindful movement explorations, and prescribed therapeutic exercises, all with a strong consideration of the psychological basis of behaviour.

Her training began with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC and then a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Calgary. She then completed the Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement® practitioner training via a three year intensive training in Nevada and California. She first completed the basic training to work with adults, and then completed the advanced trainings to work with older adults and with children with diverse needs.

The Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement® is based on the science of neuroplasticity. Your brain can change and ABM uses movement as the language of communication. Gentle, hands-on movements are used to expand your habitual ways of moving, thinking, and feeling. Michelle helps you to move away from the mindset of fixing and shift to a focus on connecting and growing the capacities you already have. Read more about ABM here.

As a Kinesiologist with three children of her own, she has developed a special interest in pre and postnatal patients. She has completed advanced certifications in pre and postpartum fitness (fit4two, bellies inc.,) Hypopressives (level 1 and 2), pilates (mat), personal training, group fitness, and doula training. She also has an affinity for athletes and is an active runner, mountain biker, baseball player (and coach), snowboarder, cross country skier….. she loves to move and wants to help you love movement too! As a Health + Wellness Coach, I form a collaborative partnership with you, helping you to achieve healthy, lasting behaviour change. As a health coach, I will help you to clarify your values and life purpose which serves as the foundation to making choices in your daily routines.
