Whitney Horstman has been practicing holistic health for 15 years, first with massage and Reiki, and for the past eight years with acupuncture and herbal medicine. She is currently a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and is on a lifelong quest to help others feel better and live happier. Combining years of massage experience with all the tools Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer, she addresses complaints with a multi-therapy layered approach that is both extremely effective and relaxing. She describes her manual style as light-handed with the needles and heavy-handed with the bodywork, with frequent use of cupping, guasha, and moxa. Herbal medicinals and food as medicine are strong areas of interest for her. She gets excellent results with conditions such chronic pain, injury, surgery recovery, autoimmune related symptoms, fibromyalgia, digestion conditions, headaches, anxiety/depression/trauma, and insomnia.
Whitney hails from the US, growing up in Colorado and living for significant periods of time in Massachusetts, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Minnesota. She relocated to Victoria in 2019 with her wife and their mini-bunny named Bun Snuggles, and is blissfully happy to be here. Outside the clinic, Whitney is an outrigger canoe and tall ship enthusiast, world traveler, trail tromper, and lover of all things art, history, and food.
