Lindsay Visser
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Using a holistic and heart-led approach to counselling, I integrate self-compassion, mindfulness, and somatic movement to explore the parts of you that make up Self. Through this approach, we lovingly challenge the shadow side of Self to connect with the heart and allow more space to live authentically. Informed by my intuition and anchoring into the present moment, I take a relational approach to navigate challenges and move through suffering alongside you. In our work together you can expect to tap into your body’s wisdom to access the hidden points of stress and call on your innate ability to heal.
I have over 12 years of experience working in the human services field and with my background of working with individuals in crisis, I integrate a trauma informed framework to help stabilize and provide safety. My experiences of working with demographics of all kinds helps me attune to the needs of the client and co-create a plan tailored to their needs. I'm here to meet you where you are at and begin exploring what change means for you and how you would like to get there. Together we will tune into your innate way of being and tap into what is missing and how to move forward.
I hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor degree in Child and Youth Care from University of Victoria. My education and professional background helps me understand the pressures and uniqueness that comes with working on the front line in social service sectors and navigating systems of care. I currently am offering services to individuals 15 years of age and up.
